🗺️ KML/KMZ Navigation – turn your Google My Maps into your travel
companion
You planned a trip on Google My Maps or Google Earth with a long list of places but which one is closest to you? And what if you have no signal abroad or in the mountains?
KML/KMZ Navigation is made for independent travel road trips in Japan hiking and field work. Load a KML or KMZ file and the app calculates the distance to every place sorts them from nearest to farthest and shows them on an offline map with one-tap navigation.
✨ KEY FEATURES
📍 1. KML & KMZ support
• Compatible with .kml and .kmz files exported from Google My Maps and Google Earth.
• Remembers the last file you opened so it is ready the next time you launch the app.
📏 2. Smart distance sorting and instant search
• Calculates the distance from your current location and lists all places from nearest to farthest.
• Search by keyword to filter places instantly.
• Switch between kilometers and miles.
🚘 3. One-tap navigation
• Tap any place to hand it to a navigation app installed on your phone such as Google Maps or TomTom. No need to type an address.
🗺️ 4. Offline vector maps (Map Overview)
• See all your places as pins on one map. Zoom in to show each place name under its pin.
• Works with offline vector map files (.map): after you download the map for your area you can view your places and your own position without a mobile network for example abroad without roaming.
• Smart map suggestions: the app recommends the offline map that matches where your places are shows its size before downloading and tells you when a newer map is available. Wi-Fi is recommended for the download.
• Several map styles including Standard Tron (dark) Biker and Motorider and a choice of label language.
🗾 5. Japan Mapcode lookup
