Q. How is this different from lowering the screen brightness?
A. It goes darker than the lowest brightness your device allows and it shifts the screen to a warm tone with less blue which brightness alone cannot do.

A. Yes. The filter is drawn on top of the screen so its color is captured too.

This app needs a background service to detect which app has started.
