It is OFF by default and is only enabled by the parent after an in-app consent screen through Android's Accessibility settings. While Kid Mode is active the service receives window-change events and uses ONLY the foreground app's package name to check it against your approved-apps list; if the app is not approved the device is returned to the child home screen. The service does not read screen content does not capture typed text or passwords does not perform gestures or purchases and does not collect store or share any personal or app-activity data — all processing stays on your device. The parent can turn it off at any time in Settings > Accessibility.
