Memorize understand and practise two classical Arabic grammar
texts: the Ajurrumiyyah by Ibn Ajurrum followed by its supplement
the Mutammima by al-Hattab al-Ru'ayni. Follow the traditional
approach of learning foundational texts by heart.
Learn in your language
Choose Arabic English Indonesian French Russian Turkish Urdu or German. Two texts two levels
• Level 1: the Ajurrumiyyah in 26 short chapters with full vowel marks.
• Level 2: the Mutammima in 40 lessons building on the Ajurrumiyyah with topics including diptotes definite nouns verbs and particles that change nominal sentences the vocative nouns that govern other words exclamation numbers and pausal forms.
Memorize step by step
• Hide key words and recall them from memory.
• Progress through four stages of hiding until you can recite the entire passage.
• Put the words in order and choose the missing word.
• Use spaced review: passages you forget return sooner while those you know well return after longer intervals.
Understand and practise
• Simple explanations and examples for every chapter.
• 632 questions: multiple choice true or false fill in the blank and i'rab — grammatical function case or verb mood and its marker — with an explanation for every answer.
• A checkpoint test after every five chapters and a comprehensive test for each text.
Practise i'rab
• 156 Quranic examples organised by Ajurrumiyyah chapter: identify the case or verb mood and its marker then read the explanation.
