Zıt anlamlı kelimeler

Karşıt kavramları karşılayan birbirleriyle çelişen anlamlar içeren sözcüklere zıt anlamlı sözcükler denir.

Sıkça kullandığımız zıt anlamlı kelimelere örnekler vermeden önce bilmemiz ve dikkat etmeniz gereken şeylere değinelim.



UYARI: Her sözcüğün eş anlamlısı olmadığı gibi zıt anlamlısı da yoktur. Özellikle nitelik ve nicelik bildiren sözcüklerin yani sıfatların ve zarfların zıt anlamlısı bulunur.

UYARI: Fiillerin olumlu-olumsuz biçimleri zıtlık oluşturmaz. Onlar aynı eylemin gerçekleşip gerçekleşmediğini bildirir. Karşıtlık oluşturması için farklı bir sözcüğün olması gerekir. Kısacası bir sözcüğün olumsuzu onun zıttı değildir.

Örnek = Gelmek (olumlu) – gelmemek (olumsuz) ≠ Zıt anlamlılık ilişkisi yoktur.
Gelmek – gitmek = Zıt anlamlılık ilişkisi vardır.



UYARI: Bir sözcüğün zıt anlamlısı onun cümledeki kullanımına göre değişir.

Örnek = Pazardaki meyvelerin yüksek fiyatı vatandaşın cebini yakıyor.

Yüksek kelimesinin zıt anlamlısı normalde alçak kelimesidir. Ancak yukarıdaki cümlede geçen yüksek fiyat sözünün zıt anlamlısı alçak fiyat olamayacağı için doğrusu düşük fiyat olacaktır. Bu yüzden cümledeki anlamından dolayı yüksek sözcüğünün zıt anlamlısı düşük kelimesidir.

Words that meet opposite concepts and contain contradictory meanings are called "opposite meaningful words".

Before we give examples of the opposite meaningful words we use frequently let's talk about the things we need to know and pay attention to.

 

WARNING: Not every word has a synonym as well as an opposite. Especially the words that express quality and quantity have the opposite meaning of adjectives and adverbs.

WARNING: The positive and negative forms of verbs do not contrast. They report whether the same action has taken place. A different word must be present to create a contrast. In short the negative of a word is not its opposite.

Example = Coming (positive) - not coming (negative) ≠ There is no opposite significance relationship.
There is a relationship between coming - going = opposite.

 

WARNING: The opposite meaning of a word depends on its usage in the sentence.

Example = The high price of fruits in the market burns the pocket of the citizen.

The opposite meaning of the word high is normally the word low. However since the opposite meaning of the high price word mentioned in the above sentence cannot be low price the truth will be low price. Therefore because of the meaning in the sentence the opposite meaning of the word high is the word low.

Features of the application:
- If you answer the opposite meaning of the word 3 times without making a mistake the application will not ask you again otherwise it will make it easier for you to learn it by constantly asking that word and thus it does not ask the opposite meanings you know again.
