Em nome do Pai do Filho e do Espírito Santo Glorioso São José vós que de Deus Eterno recebestes o especial privilégio de nos defender dos espíritos do mal na hora da nossa morte humildemente Vos suplico sede atento à prece que Vos dirijo confiando em Vossos méritos de esposo da Santíssima Virgem Maria Mãe de Nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo. Suplico-Vos bem aventurado São José pelos Vossos merecimentos obter do Altíssimo que me seja concedida saúde a mim e a todos os meus. Bem sei que por Vosso intermédio os Vossos devotos alcançaram de Nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo as graças que Vos são solicitadas. Sois o padroeiro de todos os que trabalham e ganham honestamente o seu pão de cada dia. Sois o protetor das criaturas honestas desambiciosas pacíficas. Sois o guia dos moribundos e o seu defensor contra as ciladas dos demónios na hora da morte. Por todos os vossos méritos e graças especiais de que gozais junto a Nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo rogo-Vos Castíssimo Esposo de Maria obter da misericórdia Divina o favor que pela Vossa intercessão apresento aos pés de Deus.
"In the name of the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit Glorious St Joseph you who from Eternal God have received the special privilege of defending us from the spirits of evil at the hour of our death humbly I beseech you be attentive to the prayer I address to you trusting in Your merits as spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary Mother of Our Lord Jesus Christ. I beseech you blessed Saint Joseph for your merits to obtain from the Most High that health be given to me and to all of mine. I know that through you your devotees have attained from the Lord Jesus Christ the graces that are requested of you. You are the patron of all who work and earn honestly your daily bread. You are the protector of honest disarming peaceful creatures. You are the guide of the dying and your defender against the snares of demons at the time of death. For all your special merits and graces which you enjoy with our Lord Jesus Christ I ask you the Most Holy Spouse of Mary to obtain from Divine mercy the favor which I present through your intercession at the feet of God.
