- myTube is a floating pop-up player application all the content is provided by YouTube services. Thus it does not have direct control over the content displayed.
- myTube does not rely on the YouTube API as using it requires an API key bringing with it specific regulations and restrictions. YouTube would then have more options of tracking your YouTube usage at their disposal.
- We had used NewPipeExtractor as a third-party library for extracting things from streaming sites. It is a core component of myTube but could be used independently. Read license here: https://github.com/TeamNewPipe/NewPipeExtractor#license
- According to YouTube's Terms of Use we are not allowed to display videos when in the lock screen or download video for local music.
