Divide Length by Length:

-Divide one length by another. The results are a number with decimal. Example is 6 inches divided by 6 inches. Results = 1.

Divide by number:

-Divide one length by a number. The results are in a length. Example 6 feet divided by 3. Results = 2 feet.

Multiply by number:

-Multiply one length by a number. The results are a length. Example 3 feet multiplied by 2. Results = 6 feet.

Multiply length by length (area calculator):

-Multiply two lengths to get an area. Results are in square feet. Example 5 feet multiplied by 5 feet. -Results would be 25 square feet.

You can set the precision up to 32nds in the free version.



The output of the calculator displays the results in a length for example:

4 ft 6 inches 7/32 would be displayed. Not 4'6" or a decimal.
