駐泰國台北經濟文化辦事處童振源(Chen-Yuan Tung)代表為便利泰國朋友瞭解與收看台灣的電視節目，提升泰國民眾對台灣文化與影視節目的總體意象，進而促進台泰親善友好關係，彙整YouTube上的台灣電視網路頻道，並建立「台泰電視」APP，作為「泰國台灣電視網路頻道平台」，以便泰國朋友連結到台灣電視網路頻道觀看台灣的精彩電視節目。

駐泰代表處童振源(Chen-Yuan Tung)代表表示，泰國民眾對台灣影視的印象普遍停留在二十年前的《包青天》與《流星花園》等連續劇，為推廣台灣文化與精彩影視內容至泰國，增進台灣影視業者南向機會，駐泰代表處特別蒐集即時、完整、廣泛且持續更新台灣節目內容之YouTube公開頻道，彙整台灣的電視台與節目總覽之網路頻道連結於「泰國台灣電視網路頻道平台」，並分彙6個分類網路頻道表，分別為：綜合、新聞、影劇、兒少、宗教與娛樂電視節目網路頻道，供泰國民眾方便分類選取節目並直接連結觀賞。

駐泰代表處希望透過這些台灣電視網路頻道，吸引泰國民眾與僑界更方便觸及台灣精彩影視內容，促進泰國民眾對台灣的瞭解與喜好，同時增加影視產業與相關產業到泰國發展的機會，並促進台泰之間的友誼與文化交流。
