’৫২-র ২১ ফেব্রুয়ারি বাংলাকে রাষ্ট্রভাষা করার দাবিতে সংঘটিত ভাষা আন্দোলনে কি ঘটেছিল তা জানাতেই তৈরি করা হয়েছে ১৯৫২ অ্যাপ। এ দিনে সালাম বরকত রফিক জব্বারসহ নাম না জানা আরও অনেকে শহীদ হন। ভাষাশহীদদের স্মৃতির উদ্দেশ্যে স্থাপন করা হয় শহীদ মিনার। পরবর্তীতে ১৯৯৯ সালের ১৭ নভেম্বর UNESCO দিনটিকে ‘আন্তর্জাতিক মাতৃভাষা দিবস’ হিসেবে স্বীকৃতি দেয়।

The ১৯৫২ app is a new way for people to learn about what happened in the Language Movement of 21st February of 1952. On this day Salam Barkat Rafiq Jabbar and many others met martyrdom for our language. Shahid Minar had been erected in remembrance of them. Later on 17 November 1999 UNESCO declared 21st February as the International Mother Language Day.
