formato sessagesimale (minuti e secondi in sessantesimi) nel
corrispondente formato decimale (minuti e secondi espressi in
centesimi e millesimi) ed effettuare l'operazione inversa ovvero
convertire un tempo dal formato decimale a quello
sessagesimale.
Per comodità puoi scegliere anche il numero di decimali da utilizzare nel risultato.
La conversione da base sessagesimale a base decimale ha molte applicazioni pratiche.
Può servire ad esempio in ambito lavorativo per stabilire o ripartire correttamente gli orari di lavoro e individuare le frazioni di ora svolte dai dipendenti oppure per controllare la corrispondenza tra le ore riportate dal sistema di rilevazione presenze (il cosiddetto "cartellino" del dipendente) e quelle indicate nel programma paghe e stipendi quando sono espresse in basi diverse.
Un altro esempio di utilizzo del convertitore lo troviamo nel calcolo della velocità media di un mezzo dove è facile sbagliare se non si tiene conto del fatto che il tempo di percorrenza è espresso in base sessagesimale mentre la distanza percorsa è in base decimale.
Se ad esempio un'auto percorre 100 km in 1 ora e 15 minuti per calcolare la velocità media non bisogna dividere 100 per 115 ma per il risultato della conversione di 1 ora e 15 minuti nel formato decimale vale a dire: 125.
La velocità media sarà quindi 100 / 125 ossia 80 Km/h.

Se inserisci valori molto piccoli imposta un numero di cifre decimali alto perché altrimenti il risultato potrebbe essere arrotondato a zero.

Aumentando il numero di decimali nella conversione si otterrà una maggiore precisione nell'operazione inversa.

If for example a car travels 100 km in 1 hour and 15 minutes to calculate the average speed do not divide 100 by 1.15 but for the result of the conversion of 1 hour and 15 minutes in the decimal format that is to say : 1.25.
The average speed will therefore be 100 / 1.25 or 80 Km / h.
