من أجل تنشئة جيل قرآني يسير بهدي القرآن الكريم وفكر أهل البيت (عليهم السلام) واستثماراً لأوقات أبناءنا بحفظ كتاب الله تعالى والعناية بتدبره وتعلّمه بما يعود بالنفع والفائدة، ولنشر ثقافة القرآن الكريم بين أفراد المجتمع بفئاته العمرية المختلفة، ارتأت الأمانة العامة للعتبة العلوية المقدسة استحداث مركز القرآن الكريم وذلك تزامناً مع ولادة المولى أمير المؤمنين علي بن أبي طالب (عليه السلام) في الثالث عشر من شهر رجب الاصب عام 2012م؛ وقد تبنّى المركز كافة النشاطات القرآنية، داخل الصحن العلوي المطهر وخارجه.
